Being the most popular messaging app in the world with more than 1.5 billion users, WhatsApp constantly adds new features to the app for Android, iOS and desktop platforms. Facebook-owned messaging app also operates on various features in beta, some of which make it to stable release.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp also has several agile features for users and there are some features which can make the app more interesting. Some of them include dark mode which is reportedly working on. Along with this we take a look at another 4 features that will make the app interesting and user friendly.

Dark Mode:
When the app is under dark mode it will switch to dark grey coloured background, while the icons and headings are all highlighted in WhatsApp's signature green colour and the sub texts are visible in white colour. This feature is not yet available for public beta.

Hide online status:
The users of the app can make maximum privacy on the app. They can hide their last seen and read receipts on WhatsApp. But even with these features turned on, WhatsApp still displays the online status of the user.

This is the most convenient and easiest platform to send images, over the years WhatsApp has developed its photo sharing with albums, contact shortcuts and enhancing the number of items. But the app will automatically reduce the resolution that makes it send the image quickly.

Cross-platform backup:
WhatsApp lets its users to backup their chats and restore them on the next device they switch to. While this feature is very user friendly, one issue is with changing from Android and iOS.

WhatsApp Pay:
Last year, WhatsApp began testing UPI-based payments in India. WhatsApp Pay is not yet launched officially but it is running on beta. Sending and receiving money is easier and simple as sharing a photo. To start payments on the app, users need to create or link their UPI account on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is still waiting to launch this feature officially for everyone to use it in India. And its payments system is planned to be launched globally.
